What is The Blind Men of Jericho and why should you care?

The Blind Men of Jericho is about five men trying to explain the same object just by touching it.  The healing of a blind man near Jericho (recorded in Matthew 20:2934; Mark 10:4652; Luke 18:3543) has been heavily criticized by skeptics over the years. Both Mark and Luke mention the healing of just one blind man, but Matthew speaks of the healing of two men when Christ departed for Jerusalem for the final Passover. Also, Matthew and Mark show that a blind man was healed when Jesus left Jericho, and Luke suggests that a blind man was healed when the Lord approached the city. Allegedly, these discrepancies surrounding Jesus' miracle in the city of Jericho prove the Bible writers wrong.  Further, in Matthew 9 it is written that although the Lord commanded them to be silent about what happened, the blind did not obey the Lord, and the story spread throughout the land.

The word would go to Jericho and the blind would hear it all. Given stories like this, it should come as no surprise that all these blind people called on the Lord in the same way that the blind did in the story. Perhaps many other blind men, when they happened to come into contact with the Lord, did the same, based on the same story, but the Bible does not record the story of their healing. It's an allegory about how we see and misunderstand .  The moral of the story goes like this. Therefore, whenever we disagree with others, we need to be humble, acknowledge the limitations of our knowledge and the need for other perspectives, and trust others to see truths we do not know. I have.  "This story is told from the point of view of the king and his courtiers. They are not blind, but the blind cannot comprehend the full reality of the elephant, and only part of the truth can be understood." understand.

This story is constantly told to invalidate claims that the major religions are learning humility and realizing that no religion can have multiple sides of truth.  The Blind Men of Jericho is a lesson in the importance of listening and not judging by looks.  Jesus left Jericho to go to another place. But when the blind cried out, Jesus stopped and called the two blind men to him. He even questioned them. He felt very sorry for her condition. We can learn an important lesson about Jesus from this story. First, the two blind men called him "son of David" and asked him to "have mercy on us." After calling him thus, they both regained their sight. When the blind men of Jericho asked what they had said, they said, "If this Jesus should come to my city, I will call him the same. Perhaps he will heal my blindness." This story is thus engraved in the memory of every blind man in Israel who hears it, and their immediate reaction is not to shout, "Jesus, son of David, Jesus!" have mercy on me!
